Albany, Australia
House in ALBANY, Western Australia
Welcome to our home. Peter and Colleen are a retired couple who are enjoying our retirement years traveling the world while we are fit and healthy.
We live on the Southern coastal area of Western Australia. ALBANY is 4 hours by car from Perth OR if you fly, only 1 hour. There is also a daily bus to Albany from Perth.
Our home is in the centre of Albany within walking distance to almost everything. Our heritage listed home (built in 1897) has a wonderful view down over the Port of Albany. There is nothing nicer than sitting with the first coffee of the day watching huge ships berthing in the harbour. Occasionally large cruise ships make there way into the harbour and unload their 'cargo' for a days entertainment on shore, before continuing on their way to Esperence of Fremantle.
Our quiet neighbourhood is a wonderful place to relax after a busy day walking and exploring our surroundings.
Our 3 bedroom home is suitable for up to 6 people, though all 3 rooms have double beds. We have all modern amenities including dishwasher, Internet, television etc.
At present we have a lovely cottage garden with a plentiful supply of flowers to adorn the house. The vegetable garden is quite productive during the summer months when we are here to care for it.
We love to share our part of the world with others. So please come and visit us here in Albany.

Neighborhood
About the neighborhood
Our home in the city is located in a very quiet and convenient location with magnificent views over the Albany Harbour. A 2 minute walk to coffee shops, 5 minute walk to the Albany Entertainment Centre. There are many beaches, wineries and natural bush to explore within 10-30 minutes of home.
Beyond the Albany region there are many wineries which are open for wine tasting 7 days per week. We also have a brewery and internationally recognised whisky distillery in the city.
At different times of the year we have Film Festivals, Wine Festivals as well as many Art activities. For the sports minded there are several Golf courses, active Tennis Clubs. And then of course there are many beaches to lazy on and swim and surf in the very blue clear water.
Or enjoy a local wine in the garden!

Peter and I are a retired couple. We moved to the south coast of Western Australia about 10 years after living on a farm in Bridgetown. I have had two careers, the first being teaching, while the second was in Business Planning and Project Management. My current 'career' is that of a travelling photographer!
Peter's retirement career is mainly leisure activities with a little environmental working in the outback of Western Australia.
We are the parents of two grown 'children' who are independent and very happy living their own wonderful lives.
Our only plan is to travel the world whenever and where ever our desires take us.
