Briagolong, Australia
Comfortable house on the edge of a friendly village surrounded by trees.
Our house is quite new, completed in December 2021. It is on a corner block with tree lined streets each way and its own little forest. The house has a bright, well lit main living area with kitchen, dining and lounge, and 2 double French windows with sliding doors going out onto a large deck. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and ensuite, the other with a queen bed, separated by the family bathroom and laundry. In the Music Room there is a comfortable single sofa bed and in the Study there is a queen sized sofa bed with sprung mattress.
Outside at the back there is a garden shed, large shed and a double car port. The front garden is still a work in progress with a few raised garden beds but no lawn area. There is a ‘forest’ with seating areas, lovely on a warm day.
The lounge and music room both have reverse cycle air conditioners and there is a gas heater in the lounge.
There are three lots of steps up to the house, the front door, the laundry door and the deck. There are handrails for the front and deck steps but unfortunately the house is not suitable for people with severe mobility issues.

About the neighborhood
Our village is full of trees and friendly people. We have an excellent shop/post office, a primary school, a community centre, a gym and a pub. On weekends there is a lovely little cafe and an art gallery. The nearest town is Stratford, 10 minutes drive away with a very good little supermarket, butcher, baker, library, doctor, pharmacy and several cafes. Larger supermarkets and more shops, cafes and other facilities including medical centre and hospital, are in Maffra, 15-20 minutes drive. 25 minutes away, Sale has all these facilities plus the Gippsland Regional Art Gallery and Entertainment Centre.
We are also within about an hour's drive from beaches, lakes and mountains, and 2-3 hours from snow fields.
2 minutes walk from our house is the Redgum Reserve with extensive forest walks. The area is quiet and peaceful and lovely to live in.
Nearest Airport: Melbourne
