Large House Near the Beach Co. Meath., Ireland
A large five bedroom family home. Our kitchen is large and well equipped and looks out onto our south facing garden. We have a sunroom adjoining our kitchen which has two loungers that are perfect for relaxing in ! Our sitting room has a solid fuel stove which makes the room very cosy In the winter. We have cable tv in our family room and there is also a downstairs toilet. Upstairs we have four bedrooms a family bathroom and an ensuite wet room. Our fifth bedroom is downstairs. Our garden is large and has a steel shed,vegetable bed railings and an electric gate.
Our neighbourhood consists of a development of eleven houses and is friendly but quiet. We are a fifteen minute walk to a long sandy beach which is great for long walks. Bettystown village has a supermarket, a butcher , fish and chip shop, two cafes. In Mornington ( a five minute drive ) there is Morans , an authentic Irish pub with open fire and great pints of Guinness !
We live in the Boyne Valley, 20 minutes from Newgrange, a World Heritage Site that is older than the pyramids of Egypt. Our house is 30 minutes from the airport and just under an hour from the Centre of Dublin by car, bus or train. Belfast is about 90 minutes by car and the Giants Causeway is another hour or so beyond that

About the neighborhood
Bettystown is a seaside town . The beach which stretches 6 miles connects Laytown , Bettystown and Mornington. There are supermarkets in Bettystown and Laytown. There are also three cafes, Relish , BT’s and Ariosa as well as a couple of fish and chip shops and Chinese take always. The beach is used for kite surfing and horse racing ( once a year in September ). It is a fifteen minute drive from Drogheda which is the nearest big town.

We are an empty nester couple as our four children are no longer living with us. Cormac is a dentist and I ( Jean ) am not currently working. We love to travel and exchange homes. We also enjoy our garden , going to the cinema and good food and wine.
